Meet the Author

Nathalie Rodriguez is a sophomore at Rice University studying Computer Science. She is passionate about solving technical problems and building products that create meaningful impact. Her experiences navigating higher education as a first-generation student have also shaped her appreciation for access and opportunity. This summer, she partnered with Feeding South Florida to develop a geospatial platform that helps identify communities where expanded food access could have the greatest impact. She also explored machine learning through AI4ALL Ignite and taught algorithms through Rice’s Tapia Center STEM Camps. Nathalie hopes to continue growing as a software engineer while using technology to solve problems that matter.
