About the Author

Myra Arif is a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University studying Information Systems Management. Myra is passionate about increasing information access, especially for first generation college students. She is in the process of building a database for students that helps them find resources and organizations to help them gain experience in their career of choice. She is a Stony Brook University alum, where she majored in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics. Last year, Myra was interning at the Human Language Analysis Beings Lab, where she was performing data analysis to find how anxiety and depression during COVID-19 was correlated with unemployment. Outside of academics, Myra loves to read science fiction and write poetry.
